George Mohacsi

A
career life insurance executive with more than 30 years of
progressive management experience, George Mohacsi joined Foresters
in September 2002. In 2004 he assumed responsibility in North
America for the marketing of Foresters products and services, in
addition to continuing to lead Foresters IT operations and member
certificate administration. He was appointed International
President and CEO in March 2005.
George joined Foresters from Zurich Life Canada where he was Senior
Vice President, Life and Asset Management, responsible for managing
the Life Insurance operations of Zurich's Canadian business. He had
previously held senior executive positions at Royal Sun Alliance
Financial and Crown Life.
During his career in the life insurance industry, George has held
management and executive roles in key functional areas, including
corporate planning, marketing and sales, information systems and
administration. He has a strong background in general management
and strategic planning and a proven track record of achieving
bottom line business results by growing revenues, improving
operational effectiveness and managing costs.
A graduate of University of Toronto with a degree in Industrial
Engineering, George is a member of the Board of Directors of the
Life Office Management Association (LOMA). He is a member of the
Children's Miracle Network Board of Governors and a Board member of
Hope Air, a Toronto-based charity. George has also served for many
years as a fundraising volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society,
the Heart and Stroke Foundation and several other
organisations.
