Peter Robinson
Non-Executive Director
Peter
has had over 30 years experience in the financial services
industry, primarily with Woolwich plc (formerly the Woolwich
Building Society) where he was Managing Director and Group Chief
Executive.
In 1997 he also served with the World Bank in Warsaw as acting
President and CEO of the Polish-American Bank.
Peter's professional qualifications include Fellow, Chartered
Institute of Bankers, Companion, Institute of Management, and
Fellow, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and
Administrators.
He is also a Freeman of the City of London and past Chairman of the
Building Societies Association.
Peter joined Foresters as Group Chief Executive in 1998 and
retired in May 2006 but during his time here he oversaw
the rapid expansion of both the financial services business and
community based activities.
Peter enjoys sport, especially cricket and golf as well as
gardening and spending time with his family and his
dogs.
