Foresters Have Talent
The Foresters
Regional Council in England President Dave Saunders hosted the
first Foresters Have Talent competition in Sheffield on Sunday
5th July.
Twenty acts from across the region travelled
to the hotel for the talent competition in Sheffield. The variety
and standard of the acts were very high. Some of the acts had not
performed before and were helped along by a warm crowd of loyal
family and friends.
The event was a great success and showcased
some wonderful talent from Central England. The winners on the day
were a duo called Grace from Stafford the husband and wife team
received the trophy and winning cheque for £500. They will also
have the chance to perform at the Foresters regional ball and also
at the final of Festival 4 Stars in Glasgow this November.
Winner Debbie Sones said 'I am so shocked it
was a great competition and we were delighted to win, my feet have
still not touched the ground!'
Each performance received written feedback
from the judges and certificates and on the day. The judges gave
positive feedback and helpful hints to each act.
Dave Saunders said 'The whole event was a
great success and touched our members who have a real talent to
perform. Talent competitions are a great way to encourage our
Foresters members to shine in public and we are looking forward to
seeing even more acts at our 2010 event'
Foresters members and their families are
invited to take part next year to register your interest please
