Thank you letter from St Ann's Hospice
Vicky Whittaker Branch Treasurer, received a letter from
Louise Kelly the Community Fundraiser of St Ann’s
Hospice.
“On behalf of
St Ann’s Hospice, I would like to thank yourself, Sheila, and all
the members of Dane Weaver Branch of the Foresters for your
generous donation of £780.00 and all your hard work and effort for
the Hospice in 2007.
As an independent local charity, care is
provided free of charge by St Ann’s Hospice to over 3,000 people
each year across three sites in Greater Manchester. You can be
assured that your donation will be used in the best way possible to
develop our Inpatient , Day Therapy and Community
Services.
St Ann’s Hospice needs to raise £16,000
every day through voluntary contributions to offer its wide range
of services. In total it costs £9 million each year to run the
Hospice, of which only 35% is received from government funding. It
is the support of the local community that enables St Ann’s Hospice
to continue providing the highest standards of care to patients,
families and carers.
Thank you once again for your chosing to
support St Ann’s Hospice”.
We are supporting St Ann’s Hospice as our
nominated charity until December 2008.
Our new charity for 2009 will be the Air
Ambulance service.
