Diabetes UK, a cheque was presented to a representative at the
Sunday Lunch on 29th November.
Our main charity for 2010 will be Devon Air Ambulance Trust

We have managed to arrange some store collections, starting at
Tesco Roborough, on Wednesday 24th and Thursday
25th February, if you could help for an hour or
so on either day please contact Jenny Berry on telephone
01803 323789. You can also contact Jenny if you have any ideas
of ways we can raise money for this worthwhile cause.
Jubilee Club
It’s time to renew your membership for 2010.
Our members have been lucky this year, well done to them. Good luck
to everyone next year. The subscription is still £6.00 a year, make
cheques payable to Regional Council W.E.W. and send to Cyril
Stansbury. 76 Uxbridge Drive, Ernesettle, Plymouth PL5 2SQ. If you
would like to join, please send name, address and phone number with
your cheque. Monthly prizes are £40, £20, and £10 with a super draw
in October at the Regional Council Ball.
For any further details ring me on 01752
316967.
Stampede
For the past number of years Drake Branch has
collected used postage stamps. At the Regional Council Ball held in
October, Drake was awarded ‘The Save the Children
Shield’. All stamps collected are passed to Devon Air
Ambulance where they are sold to raise funds to help in keeping the
helicopters in the air, now is a good time to ask our members to
help swell the total for the next year.
PLEASE SAVE YOUR USED POSTAGE STAMPS, give them to any Branch
Officer or contact Dave Cockings Tel. 01364 72228. If you can trim
them please leave at least a quarter inch,( 6mm) of envelope around
the stamp. An easy way to help others at no outlay and very little
effort.
