Elm Grove's Weekend Break - November 2009

Beach 79 people attended the weekend break in Eastbourne, West Sussex on the weekend of the

27 November. Everyone had a great time although the weather was not good. The highlight of the weekend was the Festive Taster Weekend at The Queen's Hotel. The trip was organised by Tony Yates who hopes to organize another holiday in 2010.

Charity Football Match

Elm Grove members were involved in a Charity Football match at the Holmer Green Sports Association in Holmer Green on Sunday 3 May. 900 people attended the event watching the Holmer Green Dad's Vs Arsenal Celebrity X1. A fantastic sum of £6.000 was raised and £1500 was given to the Arsenal Charitable Trust and £4.500 was given to Holmer Green Football Club to sponsor their youth Teams.

Many thanks to all the Foresters and their friends who volunteered on the day and helped with the barbeque and on the entrance gate. A highlight of the event was TV Chef Phil Vickery announcing the Match on the program This Morning.
