Branch Everglade was awarded the Motoring Section’s Tony
Kearly Trophy for endeavour.
Scholarship
Everglade
Branch had the pleasure of presenting a scholarship to Rebekah
Adams at our last monthly meeting.
Rebekah was also the recipient of a surprise
award:
The Rosemary Holman Memorial Scholarship, set
up by her husband Chris Lintott and her mother Joan Holman. The
funding for this is the result of a Foresters policy that was held
by Rosemary. She was a great support for both her parents
throughout her life attending many Foresters events, especially
encouraging younger members to attend and participate in
events.
They hope that the award will encourage young
Foresters to think of others and get involved in their
community.
The Scholarship is awarded to applicants from
Essex, or if no applications then the London borders nearest
to Essex. Copies of the applications are sent to Joan and
Chris who select the student they feel most worthy of the
award.
Congratulations to Rebekah, we wish her every
success in her future studies and career.
Branch Meetings
Our Branch meeting is held every 1st Monday of the
month (the following Monday if it falls on a Bank Holiday) at 8:00
pm at the Pitsea Leisure Centre, Northlands Pavement, Pitsea,
Basildon SS13 3DU. Tel 01268 559470.
