Branch Everglade Sponsors The Stanford-le-Hope Cricket Club
Juniors

Article printed in The Thurrock Gazette:
"On Friday 18 April, Stanford-le-Hope Cricket Club held a
special pre-season event for its Colts when they were presented
with their shirts for 2008 cricket season. It was a great
evening attended by many of the young players and their
families. Everyone joined in the fun as the Club put
on various games and quizzes in the clubhourse at Stanford
Recreation Ground.
This season the Colts' shirts have been kindly sponsored by
the Everglade branch of the Foresters, a well-known international
financial services organisation in the UK and North America.
Last year its members and employees assisted more than 400
charities throughout the world.
SLHCC were delighted that Mr and Mrs Venn from the Foresters
came to the Reception on Friday evening to present sixty new
playing shirts to some of the Colts. The Club are
extremely grateful to the Everglade Branch for their sponsorship of
over £750, thank them for their generosity and hope that the new
kit is inspirational to all of the Colts who wear them during the
forthcoming cricket season.
SLHCC is running Colts teams in the Under 13 and Under 15
age groups this season. To find out more contact Gillian
Ashley on 01375 407740 or via email at gilliancashley@hotmail.co.uk."
