Sunday Lunch at The Lodge Country Inn - 16 May 2010
Approximately thirty people
attended The Lodge Country Inn, Carvery, Hayes Chase,
Battlesbridge, Wickford, SS11 7QT where Lunch was enjoyed
and most of those present went on a visit to the Tropical
Wings Butterfly & Bird Garden, Wickford Road, Sth Woodham
Ferrrers, Essex, CM3 5QZ
The Butterflies were the highlight of the
event the enclosure was full of them. A wide variety in different
colours and sizes.
Family Outing To Amberly Museum - 19 July
2009
A very enjoyable day out. There were hundreds of exhibits.
Frequent train & bus rides made it easy to roam the site.
Exhibits of very old home appliances, cars, buses, trains,
steam power etc, also a demonstration of a potter at
work.
Easter Camp - 10/13 April 2009
Although the weather could have been better, the campers made
the best of it. The highlight was the attempted making of a Hot Air
Balloon. Unfortunately no one succeeded. The popular fish and chip
supper followed by a quiz was enjoyed by all.
