Regional Flat Green Bowls Competition
On Sunday 23 May 2010 in York, the branch
achieved a very creditable 2nd place. Many Thanks to Andrew
Harrison who turned up on the day with his partner won 3
and drew matches.
Jumble Sale - 27 March 2010
The Jumble Sale was held in Whingate, Leeds, 15 Members and
Friends were involved and over £200.00 was raised
for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Over 90 people paid to enter, which was the most for over 10
years.
Regional Council Quiz Finals - 2 February 2010
The regional quiz final took place in Huddersfield, where
we were the proud Winners of the adult main quiz and the Juniors
plate quiz.
Cheque Presentation to Andrea's Gift - December 2009
The Branch presented Andrea's
Gift with a cheque for £10,500. This represents the total raised in
the last 4 years by the Branch for the brain tumour research
charity Andrea’s Gift. (Charity no. 1095931)

In 2009 Friendship Branch raised £2500.00 for
the charity.
An additional £1000.00 was also donated in 2009 to Andrea’s Gift
by the family of long standing member and ex branch officer John
Ruddle (a founder member of Friendship Branch) who passed away in
2009.
Regional Council Quiz Finals - 2009/10 Competition
The Friendship A team and the Junior team have qualified for the
Inter Region Quiz Finals. The B team narrowly missed out by one
point from qualifying. We wish them all success.
