Welcome to Members of Greensward.
Dear Member,
This Newsletter contains details of the coach
outings for the rest of year, plus of course the Annual Dinner
Dance on 23rd October 2010, which is a great fun night
out.
It is with great sorrow that I announce the
death of our oldest active member dear Cyril Abbott who passed away
in January aged 94, on his beloved sunshine island of Tenerife. He
had worked tirelessly for the Foresters for over 50 years, a
wonderful man.
Last year this Branch raised £1031.00 for the
Essex Air Ambulance, this year we are raising funds for The
Southend University Hospital Premature Baby Unit. If you have any
good quality saleable items for our boot sale, please telephone
Keith McNeill on 01702 340120.
Don’t forget, you will be made most welcome at
our meetings, why not give us a try? Tea/Coffee and Biscuits always
served. Details within the News section.
