Successes
Success stories of 2009
Pictured are some of the members from the sing-a-long
evenings who volunteered to sing a progamme of melodies at
Elizabeth House Retirement Home. The residents so enjoyed the
performance, the choir has been invited back again! Care to join
us? Just pop along to Highland Methodist Chuch on the 4th Monday of
the month at 8.00pm.
The weather stayed dry for our coach Trip to the lovely city of
Norwich. The raffle on the coach raised £46 for the Essex Air
Ambulance.
The 45th Anniversary dinner/dance was enjoyed by 142
members and guests. The grand raffle raised £343 for the E.A.A.

The coach was fully booked for the tour in glorious
sunshine of Essex Villages with amusing and interesting commentary
by a professional guide before finishing the day at Steeple
Bumpstead where we were entertained by the
'Chocolate Lady' and enjoyed free samples and a
Cream tea! The raffle on the coach raised £60 for the
E.A.A.
Mapledurham
There were 84 applications for this trip so we had 2 coaches.
The weather was kind and we all enjoyed a leisurely cruise along
the Thames from Caversham to Mapledurham where we ended the day
with a cream tea on the lawn. The raffle on the coaches raised
£83.00 for the E.A.A.

Blenheim Palace
A full coach party had a lovely day in the
warm sunshine enjoying the treasures of Blenheim Palace and the
beautiful grounds. The raffle raised £58.00 for the E.A.A.
