Charity News
We continue
to raise funds for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air
Ambulance.
On Tuesday 20th July 2010 we helped them with a collection at
The Oracle Reading and of a total £505.24 raised,
Foresters collected £385.06.
On Sunday 8th August we provided a BBQ at a Charity Garden Party
run by the local Muscular Dystrophy Group, this raised
£135.00 for the Air Ambulance. In addition the MD
group raised £1,300.00 for the Helen and
Douglas Hospice in Henley.
With assistance from the Community Fund we sponsored the
Springfield Primary School Summer Fete on Saturday 3rd July.
This raised £4,700.00 which will be used to
provide the School with notebook style wireless computers for the
Children to use.
Our thanks to you who support our raffles at the various events
held by the Branch, it all helps !
Charity Committee
On a personal note thanks for your Get Well wishes, I am feeling
good and will see you soon.
Charity for 2010
We have adopted
the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance as our main charity
for 2010.
They rely on donations to keep flying and receive no financial
support from the Government or NHS. We will be having raffles at
all our functions and will be looking at other ways of raising
funds. Please support us in our efforts.
If you would personally like to help financial send me a cheque
payable to Thames Valley and Children Air Ambulance and post to me
at the address below and I will make sure they get it straight
away:
