Regional Council Assembly
The Central and Northern England Regional
Assembly was held at Warwick University Conference Centre on
Saturday 11 October 2008. At this meeting reports were
presented covering the past four years achievements and the
election of new Regional Council officers to serve for the next
four years as well as the election of delegates to attend the
forthcoming International Assembly to be held in Halifax Nova
Scotia in June 2009.
Hadrian Branch is pleased to announce that
Christine Lagun, our Branch President, was elected to be a delegate
at the forthcoming International Assembly and Ray Currie was
presented with a Leadership Award by Bernard Bloom, Foresters
International Fraternal President, to recognize his continuous
service with Foresters over 25 years.

CLIC Sargeant National Glass Center Abseil
This CLIC Sargeant event sponsored by
Foresters’ Hadrian Branch took place at The National Glass Centre
on Sunderland’s riverside on 23 September. 60 brave people
took the drop including Kevin McNaught, our Darlington Sales
Adviser. It was great to see so many people attracted to this
new venue and we were blessed with a warmer day than our previously
chilly excursions underneath the Tyne Bridge at Newcastle!
All in all a very successful day, raising over £3,800 for
CLIC Sargeant.
