Successes
Christmas Dinner and Charity Presentation to RNLI
22 members attended a meeting
followed by Christmas Dinner at the Clarendon Hotel on 1 December
2009, where a presentation was made to Mr Raymond Hurst of the RNLI
and a presentation to the Branch President and his wife as they are
moving to Goa to live - we wish them success!!
The dinner was followed by a visit from Father Christmas and
Fairy Go Lightly!
It was a very enjoyable evening with good food and good
company!
Branch Donation to Education Trust in Goa
The Branch has given £1,000 to the trust as
sponsorship for the children for one year.
The children sent Christmas wishes and thanks to the branch who
enjoyed looking at the photographs from the Leader of the Trust in
Goa.
We were pleased to see the smiles and looks of happiness on
their faces!
Visit to Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker &
Chester
14 members attended the tour and had free
time to look around the Secret Bunker and see what might have
been!! This was really interesting and made you appreciate
what we have got. Then onto Chester for some retail therapy
or a trip on the river, this was a glorious day enjoyed by
all and had something for everyone.
Highlights of the event was seeing all the secret nuclear stores
and equipment also enjoying a nice cup of tea in the NAFFI.
