Welcome to Members of Heathrow.
Welcome to all members of Heathrow. How
time is flying by, we had a very interesting and enjoyable visit to
Bletchley Park and are now looking forward to our forthcoming
events.
I would like to remind you that members are
very welcome at Branch Meetings. It is a good place to meet
the Officers and your fellow members, and to hear just what the
Branch does for the members, for the community and for
charity. Something else new for us, at the August meeting
Leah Jeffries from Maggie’s, will talk to us about the new drop-in
cancer caring centre at Charing Cross Hospital and at the September
meeting, Captain Richard Thompson from The Salvation Army, our
‘adopted’ charity for this year, will be our guest speaker. I
do hope some more of you will join us.
With the new method of ‘on line’ communication
we are now able to keep you up-to-date with our events on a more
regular basis. Please be sure to check the Branch site
frequently so that you don’t miss out. We do not want to lose
any of our members, so if you know of a Forester who doesn’t have a
computer please ask them to ring the office at Bromley on 0800
990066. They can then arrange for a printed copy of the
Branch Newsletter to be sent to them.
Vernon Elmes, Branch
President
