Charity

As mentioned in the last newsletter, the charity the Branch decided to support this year is CRY (Cardiac Arrest in the Young) charity No: 1050845.

To date we have held two raffles and had stalls at two Fetes to fundraise for CRY.

My thanks to all who have contributed financially, donated prizes and helped at the Fetes.

Charity Chairman

Theatre Going

Theatre MasksThe 241 scheme whereby the public can see some West End shows at half price has now gone on line at www.showpairs.co.uk or they can be contacted on 020 7907 7077.

I am always ready to help if there is a show which any members would like to see and should it be booked independently perhaps I could also be advised.

My Telephone Contact is 020 8845 2587.

Stamps

hAND STAMPSThis last year has seen us again increase the total of stamps collected, trimmed, sorted and taken to the Save the Children Fund coordinator (charity No: 213890).  My thanks to all of you who have passed your stamps on to me, and sincere thanks to ‘the few’ who have helped trim them all.  Although the competition year ends at the end of July, collecting them is an ongoing thing for us.  The Save the Children Fund really does appreciate our efforts and I am happy to keep going, so please pass all your stamps on to us, it is for a good cause. Thank you.
