Charity Presentation to St
Andrews Hospice.
A cheque
for £656.37 was presented to Nikki Robb of the St Andrew’s
Children’s hospice by Miss Kay Armstrong the branch president of
the Foresters.
In the past the Foresters have supported many
local charities by organising fund raising events and collections.
The Foresters have supported St Andrew’s for a number of years
raising a total of £5355.87, not only is it a really worthwhile
charity but one that tugs at the heart strings and the devotion and
dedication of the volunteers is most inspiring.
Throughout Hull & East Riding St Andrew’s provides
specialist care for children and young people with a progressive
life limiting illness, and at the same time offers support for
those that care for them. All care is free of charge, but this
means that they need to raise a huge amount of money each year to
enable them to continue to provide this very high quality care.

President.)
Kay Becomes Youngest Presdient of the Branch!
We would just like to share
the highlights from a report seen in Hull Daily Mail Wed Jan
9th :
“Kay Armstrong, who at 28 is the Branch’s youngest president,
takes over from Phil Allen. Kay an Analytical chemist is the second
woman to hold the post.
She has been involved in Foresters since early childhood in her
native Newcastle and joined the branch just over two years ago.
Her first duty will be to present the cheque to St Andrew’s
Children’s Hospice...Kay is also hoping to encourage more younger
members to become involved with the Foresters fundraising and
social events.”
