Thank you for showing an interest in
getting more involved with Foresters.
Charity Collections
Your unwanted gifts or new items suitable
for raffle or tombola prizes would be very much appreciated. This
would obviously save us buying such items thus making more money
for our charity.
We have two weekends booked for our Charity
collections at Yarnton Nurseries.
These are 7 and 8 August 2010
and 11 and 12 December 2010.
If you can spend an hour or two of your time
to collect money for our Charity, which is Maggie’s Cancer Centre,
please contact Maureen Cannon on 01865 377740.
Foil Collection
Please continue to save your silver foil
(aluminium cans carry the most weight; foil pie dishes).
We are extremely grateful to members who
send us foil but please could you ensure you do not include silver
paper or the packets of medication as these are NOT foil and it
takes us rather a long time to sort through the bags.
Foil can be left with any Branch
Officer or taken to our first Monday of the month meetings at
Exeter Hall, Kidlington.
Stamp Collection
We are also still collecting used postage
stamps. Please send to Mrs. Maureen Cannon at 32 Beagles
Close, Water Eaton Lane, Gosford, Kidlington, OX5 2QJ.
If you feel you can assist us with the
fundraising, please do not hesitate to contact us. Maybe you
could have a Coffee Morning or a Bring and Buy sale in your local
area – every little helps as it mounts up during the year.
Any unwanted presents are always welcome for raffle
prizes.
Abseil down the John Radcliffe Hospital
On 19 September 2010, Foresters Isis
Branch are sponsoring this event, if anyone would be
interested in taking part in the abseil or coming along on the day
they would be most welcome.
