Welcome to all Members of Knightwood Oak.

May I first of all wish everyone a very healthy, happy 2010.

For my first year in office it has been a sad one in the respect of losing two key officers in David Cogdell and Dennis Fuller, as well as one of the first people to sign up as a Forester in the early 1960’s Michael Sparrow.

I wish to say a very big thank you to Brenda Syratt and Bev Hunt for taking on the Past President and Treasurer positions which have recently become vacant in the Branch.

Girl power works ok!

Our tribute to Dennis is printed below.

A Tribute to Dennis Fuller

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Branch Treasurer Dennis Fuller, who died on November 24th. 2009 after a relatively short illness.

He leaves a widow Margaret, four children and seven grand children, all of whom he adored and who in their turn adored him, for he was the best sort of Husband, Father and Grandfather, a true family man.

Dennis joined Foresters in 1960 and was a member of Court Whitehall but transferred to Court Knightwood Oak on it's formation in 1962. He was a very active member and became an Officer of the Court serving in many positions, taking over as Treasurer in 1996. he held this position up to his death.

He will be missed by Branch Knightwood Oak and the many other community organisations he served, including St. Peters Church and the John Lewis Charity Trust. He was a good mixer and had a huge circle of friends, his going will have left a large gap in a lot of people’s lives. If you counted him as a friend then a more loyal and constant man would be hard to find. God Bless Dennis.

Please note that for all our events, children must be accompanied by an adult.
