Homemade Leek & Potato Soup

Orange & Melon Cocktail with a hint of ginger

Hot Peppered Mackerel fillet with horseradish dressing

 

Main Course

Roast Loin of Pork with a redcurrant jus

Grilled Salmon fillet with hollandaise sauce

Poached Supreme of Chicken with a pink peppercorn sauce

(V) Wild Mushroom Stroganoff  in Tortilla basket with Basmati Rice

Homemade Profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce

Fruit Salad with Cream

Homemade Strawberry Mille Feuille

 

Tea/Coffee with mints

Millennium Oak Tree visit

 

 

Trees9 May 2010 - 2.30pm

Knightwood Oak site is on the old Christchurch Road from Lyndhurst after passing Rhinefield House, take the direction sign to Bolderwood and after 400 yards the Knightwood Oak sign will be shown.  There is a car park available. 

 

 

 

On January 18th, 2000 The Court officers and members led by the then CR Joyce Sortwell planted a 3 metre high Oak tree near the ancient Knightwood Oak in the New Forest of Hampshire.  The tree was donated to the Court by Bro. Leslie & Joan Luke a Past CR of the Court, commemorates the date of the 3rd Millennium and the 21st Century will be known as “The Millennium Oak”.  A plaque to this effect was erected at the base of the tree.

 

On the 9th May if any of the original participants or any other members would like to join us at 2.30 pm on that day at the Knightwood Oak Site at Bolderwood.   This is on the old Christchurch Road from Lyndhurst after passing Rhinefield House, take the direction sign to Bolderwood and after 400 yards the Knightwood Oak sign will be shown.  There is a car park available.  A tot of sherry will be provided to toast the Tree and the Queen. Afterwards it is planned that we will join up for a cream tea in the locality.

Soup of the Day – Grapefruit or Pate with Melba Toast

8oz Rump Steak, Chicken or Salmon fillet with fries and a selection of vegetables

A vegetarian option of Nut Roast or Lasagne is also available

Cheese and Biscuits or Black Forest Gateaux with Cream
