Welcome to Members of Linden Lea Branch online!
I was very
proud to present Annette Trapoud of the Dorset and Somerset
Air Ambulance with a cheque for £4000 at our St Valentines Lunch
and Tea Dance at the Riviera Hotel on the 14th February.
This marvellous sum of £4000 was raised last year by a team
headed by Wendy Browne, who unfortunately will not be organising
the charity events this year, but will still be arranging the
raffles at all our events and trips.
International Football had caused us to alter
the date of our Summer Dance and this has now been booked for
Friday 30th July still at the Riviera Hotel. All our
events there have been in the winter, but we hope for a warm
evening at this lovely venue when we can have the doors open,
looking over Weymouth Bay as the sun sinks over the horizon, but
lets not forget the other events this Spring and Summer. Please
look at the following events listing and see if you can attend at
our very low prices.
As regard prices, we have obtained Member
Involvement status for our Visit to the World of Country Life on
22nd August and now it’s only £5 per head for you and
your guests, with all the children (under 16) coming Free, so book
the date NOW as it will be limited to two coaches. Those wishing to
travel independently can, but must arrange to arrive at the
same time as the coaches. See the full details in feature
