Events Listing

Welcome to Members of Longbow.

 

Hello everyone, we have had an excellent start to collections and events this year. Our total so far, for Lincs. & Notts Air Ambulance has already top the £3,000 mark. We are also supporting the Nottinghamshire Hospice with their Midnight Memory Walk and have donated £3,700 to help stage the event. Our two latest events have been very well attended. There were 73 of us at Spring Dinner Dance, dancing till midnight after enjoying a superb 5 course meal served by the catering staff at the West Bridgford Masonic Club. The Quiz night had it’s highest number of quizzatiers, all being tested by the devious DRS, could he catch them out ? I think not.

QMC Abseil

Sunday 12 July 2009 

 

AbseilHave you got what it takes to go over the edge for children with cancer?

 

Show your support to CLIC Sargent and abseil down the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham. This will be the second CLIC Sargent abseil from the QMC where the Charity funds a dedicated social care team who support children with cancer and their families from in and around the Nottinghamshire area.

 

 

Do your bit for those families by taking part. Fancy dress is encouraged! The registration fee is £15 and participants need to raise £100 minimum. Those who raise more than £125 will receive a free CLIC Sargent t-shirt and participants who raise over £175 will get a free CLIC Sargent fleece.

Poetry Pals and Creative Critters!

Art and Poetry Competition for Young Foresters

 

Creative Critters

Foresters aged between the ages of 4-18 can take part and its FREE to enter! You can submit a picture, poetry or both and the theme for this year's competition is 'Go Green'.

 

There will be a winner and 3 runners-up in each age group. £30 of WHSmith vouchers for the winners and £10 for each of the runners-up.

 

It's easy to enter - simply download and complete the entry form here, indicating which category your Young Forester will be entering.

 

When your child's art and/or poetry is complete, you simply need to send this in with the completed entry form to the competition address shown on the entry form.

 

The closing date for all entries is 30 September 2009 - Good Luck!
