Get Involved
At our Dinner Dance in February 2010 we
presented a cheque for £11,906.72 to Linc & Notts Air
Ambulance, our 2009 charity collection effort. Thanks to the hardy
team of volunteer who often rattle their tins in drafty supermarket
entrances. We were also involved with Notts Hospice with their
Midnight Memory Walk which raised over £13,000 and with the Clic
Sargent QMC abseil which managed to collect over £20,000.
We also supported Guide Dogs for the Blind,
RNLI and sponsored a school craft club and basket ball team.
This year we are continuing to support Lincs
& Notts Air Ambulance, but if you know of a good cause that
would benefit from our support, then please let me know.

Charity Collections
This year we are supporting the Lincs &
Notts Air Ambulance again – a very worthy organisation that exists
on donations only. We have had a good start to our collecting
and already have over £1,000. We are very grateful to the
volunteers who go out to the stores and “rattle” those tins.
Be a volunteer collector - out of pocket
expense will be paid, so if you can spare a couple of hours on any
of the dates shown, we do need your help to collect throughout the
East Midlands. We usually work in pairs, in rotas of
two/three hour sessions - we will ensure you are with a regular
helper. So, if you can help we would like to hear from
you.
