Foresters Build Bears for Special Schools
Over 70 volunteers from Foresters and Woolley
Wood Special School took park in a very special Build-A-Bear
Workshop event in Sheffield on 7th February 2010.
The children and their families spent a fun
filled hour to create and dress 50 delightful, fluffy bears that
will be given out to children in Special Schools in the Sheffield
area.
Cash for Kids are kindly delivering these
bears to deserving children in the area and Keeley Ward, the
Charity Manager said "A big thank you to Foresters for the donation
of these bears this will be a real treat for the children!"
This Build-A-Bear event is just one of
the many exclusive events and activities organised for Foresters
members as part of Foresters work in the Community.
Damflask Reservoir Walk
Major Oak members and their
families enjoyed a beautiful walk around Damflask Reservoir. The
weather was surprisingly sunny and warm for this easy access walk
was through woodland and the waterside and had panoramic views
across the area. We finished our stroll in the charming
village of Low Bradfield where one of younger members decided to
have a paddle in the duck pond!
We had such a great time that we are going to organise various
walks across the Branch area and its vicinity. Everyone is
welcome to join, please contact Brian Sharp email: mailto:cneforesters@live.co.uk
