Successes
Chester Zoo - 25 July 2010
This trip to the Zoo attracted 65 Members who had a
great time.
They were delighted to see the new arrival of a baby elephant,
which was the highlight of the day.
The Meerkats were very popular too.
Canal Boat Trip - 11 July 2010
Forty people enjoyed the Cruise on the Judith Mary in
the Peak District, everyone tucked into the wonderful
buffet and the weather was kind to us.
Regional Council Quiz Finals
Over
70 people attended the Regional Quiz Finals at Brighouse on 21st
February 2010.
Medlock Way were runners-up in the main final and won a trophy.
A good day was had by all who attended with a good lunch provided -
Well done team Medlock!
Christmas Dinner Dance - 12 December 2009
Good music and fun was had at the Medlock Way Christmas Dinner
Dance at the Brookdale Golf Club. Everyone enjoyed the night
and £80. 00 was raised for the Dr Kershaws Hospice and £80.00 for
Francis House. Pictured below left, are Phil and Maria at the
Bottle Tombola Stall.
Presentation of award – Oldham Sea Cadets

On the 16 July 2009
Medlock Way members were present to watch an award presentation to
the Sea Cadet Unit in passing with full colours in their national
audit. Foresters Branch Medlock Way have supported the Oldham
Sea Cadets over a number of years and are delighted at the
achievement in watching Mayor of Oldham and
Youth Mayor presented the award, in front of proud parents and
members of the Foresters.
