Welcome to Members of Mendip.
This year we are supporting two charities –
The RNLI and The Portishead & Bristol Lifeboat Trust. On
Sunday 12 July 2009 we are sponsoring the Portishead Raft Race
which we hope will be a fun day for all who attend. Feel free to
come along with the family, bring a picnic and support one of the
rafts in their efforts to cross the lake. We would also
appreciate any help on the day and you can register your interest
by emailing us at mendipbranch@yahoo.co.uk
2009 also sees the launch of the RNLI Open
Gardens Scheme which I am sure will interest the amateur gardeners
amongst us. In our area, Nailsea Court , Chelvey Road,
Nailsea will be open from 2.00 – 5.00pm on Saturday 18 July and
Courtfield Garden, Church Road, Longhope Gloucestershire from 2.00
– 5.00pm on Sunday 23 August. There are many gardens open
throughout the South West – for further information and booklet you
may ring their fundraising and communications office on 01752
850680.
