Successes

Our Charity Year

Mendip Charity Year Fundraising throughout 2009 was mainly to benefit of the RNLI and Portishead & Bristol Lifeboat Trust AND we really excelled ourselves – events included suppers, lunches, a quiz and a Race Night.

There was the odd raffle, of course; plus a bit of trading on the side, namely jam and greeting card sales.

We are happy to report that we raised - £3629.71 in total of which the RNLI received £1535.88, The Portishead & Bristol Lifeboat Trust received £1632.98 and Children in Need (Spuds & Puds for Pudsey) £460.85

Guide Dogs for Blind Association were sent £50 from the sale of foil and aluminium cans.

This year the wining and dining along with the raffles will be to the benefit of The Great Western Air Ambulance. So, no need to be shy, check the newsletter and join us for a lunch or a dinner or anything else that you fancy!!
