Human Table Football Competition - Saturday 20 March

Over 100 competitors, supporters and helpers attended the event
held at The Olympiad Leisure Centre, Swindon, repeating the very
successful 2008 event in a light-hearted competition where teams of
six people competed in a human table football event.
As in the classic table version, team members were attached to
long poles and restricted to moving from side to side only within
an inflatable ‘pitch’, each endeavouring to score the highest
number of goals.
Everyone who took part entered into the spirit
of the event, taking their ‘punishments’ for fouls and
unsportsmanlike behaviour with good grace!
Mendip Branch sponsored this event In aid of the Bath RUH
‘Forever Friends’ Appeal (Reg Nr 1058323) raising funds for their
new Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit.
Jo Hones, Events & Community Officer for the appeal,
expressed her thanks to Foresters, adding that without their
support this fantastic event would not have been possible.
