Welcome to Members of Mercia Branch.
I am, once again your president. I am looking
forward to meeting some of you during my two year term of
office.
My team are putting together a summer trip
which we hope that you will be interested in.
Weston-Super-Mare has had to forcibly change
itself due to the fire on the pier. Now however, it is regenerating
itself, A new complex is built on the pier, and further
entertainments and activities are in progress.
We are offering you a coach trip for a day out
to Weston-Super-Mare, bring your own picnics, or try the excellent
fish and chips available up to lunch time. Then congregate by
SeaQuariam and enjoy a trip around this fascinating exhibition,
there will be a goody bag treat for the children, and also tea or
coffee. A special prize, to be announced all for the inclusive
price of, £3 per adult, £1 per child and oaps. All to be given to
our charity Sue Ryder, Leckhampton Court Hospice. Two coaches are
booked so there will be plenty of room, LOOK out for your
envelopes, with an invitation card inside(arriving in your post
very soon). Members must register as per instructions, and add a
special code number to the postcard, which must be brought with
them to the coach on the day.
Our winners of the prize at Slimbridge were
June and Alan Bennett, they received a super digital camera.
So look forward to a surprise for our
Weston-Super-Mare trip!!
We are also looking for knitters and crafts
people, we are hoping to hold a craft show later in the year for
our charity. Can you knit or help to make a knee blanket?? Do you
hold a stall at craft fairs?? Or even if you think you may be able
to help out on the day, October/early November is suggested.
