Three Counties Annual Sunday
Lunch
In April, we were hosts to the Three Counties
Annual Sunday Lunch. Over 60 Foresters members & friends, plus
our Regional Council President joined us at the Gupshill Manor,
Tewkesbury for a very enjoyable three course lunch.
Family Day Out
Our family day out in June was to Slimbridge
Wetland Centre. The sun was shining down on us all day, which made
this an enjoyable day seeing all the wildlife on the reserve. The
children also had a great day splashing around in Welly Boot Land
and doing a bit of bird watching, see photos above.
40th Anniversary
Celebration Dinner
Over 60 members and friends, including Bernard
Bloom-International Fraternal President and wife Maureen, Mike Edge
our Regional Council President and wife Sue, attended our 40th
Celebration Dinner at the Gupshill Manor in Tewkesbury in
September. It was a very enjoyable evening with ample opportunity
over dinner to have a good chat and to reminisce over Mercia’s
achievements as a Court and Branch of Foresters today. We also had
a table full of memorabilia for members and friends to view our
past.
The raffle in aid of Sue Ryder Care-Leckhamton
Court, raised a sum of £285.00.
Christmas Dance
Our Christmas Dance at the end of November was
a great evening with over 70 members and friends attending. After a
splendid fork-buffet we were entertained by “The Good Old Boys” who
soon had us up and dancing. The raffle in aid of Sue Ryder
Care-Leckhamton Court, raised a sum of £255.
