Charity Presentation Evening

Cheque presentation On Saturday 8 March we held a Charity presentation dinner/dance at The Barnstaple Hotel. A cheque for £7,000 was presented to Paul Travers, the Capital Appeals Manager of BIBIC [The British Institute for Brain Injured Children]. This amazing amount was the result of a hours of hard work by comparatively few people during 2007. Redland Tor 08

During the evening a draw was held in aid of Diabetes UK (South West) the Branch’s charity for 2008. £142 was made – an excellent start to our fundraising for 2008.

Paul Travers was delighted to accept such a generous donation. In fact, our cheque was the first he’d received towards the charity’s recently launched Capital Appeal. He wished Foresters every success with their future endeavours and hoped Diabetes UK’s cheque next year would be equally substantial.
