Welcome to Members of Royal Thane
Hello Everyone
Well, I cannot believe that I have been your
Branch President for six months already; the time has gone so
fast.
Well done to Veronica Boaden who was presented
with her Scholarship certificate at my first official function, the
Branches 45th Anniversary Dinner/Dance at the Chaucer
Hotel, Canterbury, in March. I would like to thank my fellow
committee members who helped with the smooth running of the
event.
I was very pleased to meet some of you during
the visit to Pashley Manor Gardens, at the ever popular Sunday
lunches, and the Bat ‘ n ‘ Trap/Sunday lunch in July at the George
P.H. at Chartham. Although our numbers were small (23) we
still had a thoroughly good time. My apologies to my fellow
team members – I did not do as well as I had hoped, but you must
admit I was trying- very trying!!
I hope to see you at some of the various
events we have coming up for you over the next few months, your
support at these events is greatly appreciated by the committee
members who work hard to arrange the yearly programme, that the
Branch provides for your entertainment and enjoyment. There
are still many members who I have not yet had the pleasure of
meeting, I look forward to meeting up with you hopefully in the
near future.
