Presentation Lunch

In January we had our Presentation Lunch at the Brookfield Hotel Emsworth, where 52 members and guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal and were entertained with music and dancing.  We were pleased to be able to make a substantial donation to the 2009 branch charity, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. See the Successes page for details and more about what happened at the event.

Charity for 2010

At the October 2009 members’ meeting, the branch members chose the Hampshire Bobby Trust to be our 2010 charity. The Hampshire Bobby Trust is a registered charity (Registered Charity No. 1077238) which provides practical home security fitting and advice for elderly and vulnerable householders who have been burgled.

2010 Charity Co-ordinator

At the Presentation Lunch we thanked Ron Bennett for co-ordinating charity activities for many years and for making arrangements for some of our fund-raising in 2010. Now that Ron has decided to take a well earned rest, Mr Pat Glenn has agreed to be our charity co-ordinator in 2010.
