A thoroughly enjoyable day for all, many

Pre-Panto Chinese Lunch and Aladdin Pantomime
The Chinese Lunch before the
Pantomime was delightful, and plenty of socialising and great food
was had by all.
After the meal at Aroma in Stevenage Leisure Park, we made our
way to the Gordon Craig Theatre.
The Pantomime was another Success. It was hilarious and everyone
who attended thoroughly enjoyed themselves; and many were making
sure we are going to do it again next year!
We attracted approximately 30 people which was an increase from
last year and we’re hoping for another increase next year.
The President said “what a wonderful afternoon, already looking
forward to the next one, never have I laughed so much”.
Coach and River Thames Trip to Kew
An enjoyable day was had by all who joined us. The
leisurely trip on the river was followed by the visit to Kew
Gardens. The weather was warm and sunny, A ‘hop on and off’
train was available which ‘took the strain’ out of visiting the
more distant parts of the Garden.
Canal Trip and Cream Teas
On 7 June members joined us at Pitstone Wharf the Grand
Union Canal for a canal trip and cream tea.
Although the weather was not kind all the time it did not stop
those who wanted to from walking the towpath for part of the
trip. We saw plenty of wild life close-up with Swan and Heron
being the being the biggest.
The cream tea on the return journey rounded off an enjoyable
afternoon.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
This was a’’ Forester Families only’ event, held on 18th July at
Cineworld, Stevenage with the only cost to members being the £1.00
seat booking fee which was subsequently put to our Charity.
After all the hype it was pleasant to sit back
and enjoy the movie. Number 5 in the HP series it continues
the build up to the finale in ‘The Deadly Hallows’
