Successes
Jazz Evening
A wonderful evening of traditional jazz took
place on 17 July in the picturesque surroundings of Trevarno
Gardens. A scrumptious buffet was included and everyone went
home in high spirits.
A number of non-active members attended the
evening, receiving gift bags from Foresters introducing them to the
activities of Trelawny Branch – we very much hope to welcome these
members to forthcoming events.
During the evening a raffle was run by
Trelawny Members for the Precious Lives Appeal and a substantial
amount was raised from the whole event. The
photo below on the left is of the Forester member with her
prize for winning the lucky ticket.

Big South West Walk
On 14 June, several
members from Trelawny branch and friends took part in the Big South
West Walk, walking along the 7 mile Cornish flagship route from
Charlestown to Par and back for the Precious Lives Appeal, our
branch charity, raising £175 with £110.60 paid directly to
the hospice.
Coach Trip to Saltram House
On the 8
June 2008, 31 members visited Saltram House, a magnificent Georgian
mansion set in a 500 acre parkland on the banks of the River
Plym. The interior was designed by Robert Adam in 1768
and is one of his finest surviving works. We were fortunate
to have a beautiful sunny day and the trip was well enjoyed by all
who attended.
During the trip a raffle raised £60 for the
Children’s Hospice South West Precious Lives Appeal.
Sunday Lunch - 20 April
We
had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch on 20 April at Carbis Bay
Hotel.
The food was wonderful, fantastic location with many Forester
friends, what more can we say!

During the lunch a presentation was made to
our Past President and cheque presentation to our chosen
charity.
