Alaskan Cruise 2010

The evening we boarded the Celebrity Infinity in Seattle we were
greeted with a glass of champagne then shown to our stateroom where
we found a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us. What a
wonderful start to our cruise.
We visited Ketchikan, Juneau, and
Skagway. We cruised up the Tracy Arm Fjord sailing through
floating ice chunks in almost total silence. Many of us took
a ride on the White Pass and Yukon Railway, which climbed 3000ft in
20 miles over cliff hanging trestles up into the snow.
With wonderful food, attentive waiters making
sure that we put on a few pounds, and not forgetting the shows, we
think that the Foresters from all three countries who went enjoyed
the cruise and making new friends.
We will now look forward to 2012 when there is
going be another Forester cruise arranged.

Tamar Cruise - 23 May 2010
On the hottest day of the year so far members and friends joined
a cruise at the Mayflower Steps to travel the picturesque route
down the Tamar to Calstock. The trip down river took
approximately 2 hours each way passing the many
landmarks along the Tamar including travel under the Tamar
Bridge. A 40 minute stop was made in Calstock where those
who wanted to could disembark for refreshments and a stretch of the
legs before the journey back to Plymouth.
A great day was had by all, especially as we were blessed with
such a lovely day. A raffle was held on the coach for
our charity Air Ambulance raising £44.00 before
departing back to Cornwall.
