Regional Council Charity Event
Volunteers from the Regional Council Officers,
their spouses and our Event Specialist Emily, redecorated and
refurnishing the family room at the CLIC House in Bristol on 10th /
11th / 12th July 2009. The Regional Council sponsored the
redecorations and furniture and fittings at a cost of
£3,500.
Andrew Cooper, Manager of CLIC House said ‘If it wasn’t
for organisations like the Foresters we would struggle to stay
open, and it was really appreciated that we were prepared to roll
our sleeves up and do the work ourselves’.
Now, what end do I stick in the paint ?
Regional Charities 2005-2008
The total amount raised for charity over the past 4 years
by the WEW Regional Council and all the Branches in our area was a
staggering £1.27
Million! Our hearty thanks go to all who have
helped raise this terrific amount. A cheque was presented at
the Regional Council Ball in Bournemouth to the representatives of
the five children’s hospices in our area for £523,000 after thanking us they said
what a fantastic sum we had raised and they hoped our partnership
would continue for many years to come.
