Welcome to Members of Wight Isle.
Our January
meeting – which was to have been to elect a new group of branch
officers – was cancelled due to the snow (it even managed to strand
a visiting regional officer on the Island!). Our elections were
therefore held during our February meeting.
Luckily all the branch officers (pictured
left) agreed to stand for a further term of office. I thank them
sincerely for the hard work they did during their last term, and
hope they will be as willing during the coming term.
During the meeting we presented a cheque for
£2300 to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. (Pictured
rights) This was achieved by dint of the branch officers’ hard
work I mentioned earlier. We are supporting the same charity again
this year, so if you feel that you could help in any way, please
contact me.
Our business meetings (which can be quite
fun) are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the Camp Hill
Community Club at 8pm. If you’re not sure where that is please,
give us a ring - we’d love to see you there.
