Yummy Mummy Week 2008
Foresters are the proud national
sponsor of this year’s Yummy Mummy Week.
Taking place between 20th – 28th
September, thousands of mums will be taking part to help raise
money for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading children’s cancer
charity.
What is Yummy Mummy Week?
Put simply, it's fundraising events held by mums, for mums. It’s
been running for four years now and has seen many thousands of mums
across the UK take part and help to raise money for CLIC
Sargent.
Registrations are now open for 2008 so mums are being asked to
get together with friends and family in Yummy Mummy Week and have
fun whilst also raising money for children with cancer.
As this years national sponsor of Yummy Mummy Week Foresters are
helping to promote and raise awareness of the event as well as
supporting the events taking place all across the UK.
What sort of event
can I hold?
Any event you can think of - no matter how much it raises, every
penny counts! Pamper parties, coffee mornings, family BBQs -
anything goes! It can be as simple as charging your friends to come
round for a special Yummy Mummy dinner or as extravagant as getting
together with the girls to organise a Yummy Mummy party because you
all deserve some fun!
How do I raise money?
Depending on your event, you could charge an entry fee, sell
raffle tickets or goodies or you could even organise a sponsored
event - like a 5k walk in your local park or a sponsored swim in
pink cossies!
What if I've never organised an event
before?
Don't worry – you’ll be supplied with everything you need to
hold your event including posters, invitations, sponsor forms and a
handy list of hints and tips. Or you can log onto the Yummy Mummy
website to chat with other mums, share ideas and get some
inspiration.
